Target Gift Bags

A few times a year, Target supplies their dollar section with great little bags.  They are made of an fabric that resembles oil cloth.  Once, they had the cutest Dr. Seuss bags….and today, I found these!

 I always stock up and keep them in my gift wrap bin.  They are darling for wrapping a gift….and they are re-usable! So it’s a double bonus!

So if you are in need of gift bag, pop on over to the Target dollar section and stock up!!

Business Cards

On several occasions, I’ve been asked for one of my business cards. I wish I was quick witted enough to lie and say “Oh shoot! I just ran out. I’ll have to get you one when my re-order arrives!” But the truth is, I didn’t have any business cards! {And the second truth is that lying would have been a bad thing. So I guess I should be thankful that my instinct was to tell the truth!}

In a few weeks, I’m heading to the Haven Conference (for those of you wondering “What is Haven?” it’s a blogging conference held in Atlanta).  And while I’m not certain I will NEED business cards while I am there, it was the last straw that pushed me to order some.

After shopping on Etsy, I stumbled across some fun designs created by Flair Designery.  I placed my order a few weeks ago….and today, they arrived in the mail!!

{I did white out a bit of the info for the sake of privacy.}

I went with orange and brown to coordinate with my blog…and to keep the northwest feel.

I absolutely LOVE getting the mail each day. Especially when something fun like this arrives!!

Quite Surprised…

This afternoon, I went out to wait for Emmie and her kindergarten bus.  While waiting, I decided to water some flowers. I stuck my finger  in this basket to see if it the soil was dry….

…and I heard something shuffling around in there.  Suddenly, a bird flew out!  So I  peeked inside, behind the flowers….

And was so surprised – and excited – to see what was resting in my flower basket!

I’m sure this is how the kids will be spending the days until the baby birds appear….

{ok, ok – me too! i think i’m more nosey than the kids. At least I don’t need a stool to peek inside the basket!}

My Favorite Things….S Hooks

Every spring, I get hanging baskets for the front porch.  But they always felt like they were so high!!  So a few years ago, I purchased some big ‘S’ hooks from the gardening section at Home Depot.

They are about 12″ long.  And I love how they drop the hanging baskets down to an inviting  height!

 It’s an inexpensive way to bring your hanging baskets down to a more visible height.  And it adds some warmth to your outside decor as well!!

It’s one of those simple adjustments that make such a huge difference!
